This app never collects, stores, or uploads any of your personal data.
Everything stays local
- Text, images, and recordings are stored only in your device's local sandbox.
- AI processing: the Gemma model runs offline on-device — inference needs no internet connection.
- IdeaNook requests no network permission, so it is technically incapable of sending any of your data outside.
System permissions
- Camera: used only when you actively take a photo, then released.
- Microphone: used only while you hold to record a voice memo, then released.
- Photos: write-only access to save images you view; it never reads your library.
Backup & migration
- All data is stored locally via SwiftData. Settings include an “Allow iCloud Backup” toggle.
- On (default): data is encrypted within the full-device iCloud backup and restores seamlessly on a new phone.
- Off: data is fully isolated to the current device and cannot be recovered after uninstall or device change.
